Authentic Hand Forged Roman Sword
Description
Few swords of ancient times struck as much fear in civilian and enemy forces alike as the short sword held by a Roman soldier.
Known for their cunning field tactics and fearless devotion, the Roman soldier considered his sword as a natural part of himself and as primary to his mental state as breathing. All that is captured in this handmade Roman Sword that steps right off the battlefield and into your collection.
Overall length is just under 30 inches, with a hand forged, full tang blade of high carbon steel of nearly 20 inches. This thick blade has the slight 'imperfect' look of all hand forged weapons, giving it the battle-worn appearance of a real fighting weapon.
This sword combines a nickel color blade with a mahogany stained hardwood pommel and real brass fittings. The grip is painted black, with the tight handhold accenting the wide blade mirroring the strong arm presence of Rome in the ancient world.
The sheath is wood, overlaid with hardened leather, and detailed with brass hardware and hooks. The sharp point of the sheath is adorned in metal with characteristic Roman designs. This is the perfect addition when creating your legionnaire persona or for displaying alongside other ancient relics.
